I’m a massage therapist who believes in a holistic approach to healing.
I’m a Charleston local who earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Winthrop University. After spending some time at several Fortune 500 companies, I decided to transition into a less stressful career that I’d witnessed the outward benefits of firsthand.
At birth, my son was considered at risk for cerebral palsy. He was born prematurely, and doctors told me walking might be difficult or likely impossible for him. They also introduced me to a wonderful group non-profit group that introduced me to alternative medicine as an option for my child. With the help of a massage therapist and physical therapist, my son met all of his developmental milestones. He is no longer at risk for cerebral palsy and is an active football player. The techniques those therapists shared with me and the lasting results I’ve seen in my son comprise the makings of a certain appeal that massage holds for me.
With this in mind, I set out to become like those women who helped me and my child when I thought all hope was lost. I went on to obtain my certification in Massage Therapy and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, and never looked back at the corporate world. It is with great pride that I massage to heal both spirit and body.
I am therapist who believes in a holistic approach to healing.
My focus is Neuromuscular therapy, but I also provide Prenatal, Swedish, Lymphatic, Reflexology, and Hot Stone.
During your session, I let my intuition guide me as I navigate through each muscle to bring the body peace and harmony. I also strive to engage patients in the massage process. As I evaluate the muscle tissue, I give explanations and encourage muscle awareness. Knowledge of self is the best way to achieve good health.
Know your body.
