Using Essential Oils: Cedarwood
Name: Cedrus atlantica
Properties: Antiseptic, fungicidal, antiputrescent; expectorant; stimulant
To create this essential oil, the wood ground into sawdust and distilled into a thick, golden brown oil that resembles the color of old gold. Cedarwood dates back to ancient Egypt, when Egyptians would use the oil as part of their embalming process. The Greeks and Romans utilized Cedarwood in antidotes for poisons.
